Introduction: Soft Toy Secret Compartment

Most people have a few soft toys hanging around, I know I do. I thought I'd make use of them by using them to hide things like money, and small gadgets. They hide small things very well, and can be kept on a shelf, adding the element of cuteness every room needs.

Step 1: Equipment

You will need:
A soft toy
Ribbon
Scissors or a stick picker
A needle
Some thread the same colour at the toy
A small button

Step 2: Step 1

Using the scissors or stich picker, create a gap at the back of the toy's neck. Make sure you can get the object you want to hide through the gap.

Step 3: Step 2

Sew a small button to the piece of fabric above the gap. Try to sew it as close to the gap as possible.

Step 4: Step 3

Sew a loop of thread on the piece of fabric below the gap. You should be able to close the gap by looping the thread over the button. This will allow the gap to be opened and closed quickly and easily.

Step 5: Step 4

Tie the ribbon around the toy's neck. Tie it in a bow, either at the back or at the front. This will hide the gap without looking out of place itself.
