I'm a bit of a makeup junkie. Recently I finally began organizing it all. Like many people who don't have a lot of money to invest in proper storage for cosmetics, I use cheap, stackable plastic bins. In the process of setting everything out I noticed how drab and dirty the plastic bins had gotten. My crafty cogs began to spin.
Following in an easy guide to spruce up plastic storage with easy to find craft items.

Step 1:

Supply List:
- Stackable storage to decorate. Preferably the type pictured below with pull out drawers.
- Scissors
- Tape
- A few sheets of scrapbooking paper (Or printed fabric)

Step 2: Stenciling

Pull out a single drawer from the plastic storage. Trace around this on the reverse side of a piece of scrapbooking paper. Once you've cut the first shape you can use this as a template for the rest of the drawers. We will be lining the drawers in the scrapbooking paper. You can substitute an easy to cut printed cotton fabric in lieu of scrapbooking paper, or even use shelf liner/contact paper. I just so happened to have a stash of scrapbooking paper.
You have the option to glue down the liner. I chose not to so I have an easier option of changing out the paper later if I change my mind.

Step 3: Labels

Next, it's time to get organized! I used remnant pieces of the scrapbooking paper I cut to make coordinating heart shaped labels. You can opt to make it plain and follow the shape of your individual drawer pull. Or you can go with your favorite shape: star, clover, hot dog, whatever. Cut them out, label them, and stick em on. (This is where the tape comes in.)
