Introduction: Stamped Clay Magnets.

About: Hi, I'm Emma and I love making things. I blog at www.gatheringbeauty.com where I share all the things I'm making and baking and anything else I love and can't get enough of.

Brighten up your fridge with these simple Stamped Clay Magnets made using air drying clay. Perfect to keep or give away as a gift.

Step 1: Things You'll Need to Make Your Own Stamped Clay Magnets.

Air hardening clay
A rolling pin
Various stamps
A stamping ink pad
Cookie cutters
Sandpaper or a nail file
Magnets
And your trusty glue gun.

Step 2: Rolling Out Your Clay.

Take your air hardening clay and roll it out to about 5 mm thick. Be careful not to make it too thin. You don't want the clay to be brittle and crack as it dries. Stamp your design into the clay and then punch out the shape of your magnets using a cookie cutter.

Step 3: Inking Your Stamp.

Try inking up the stamps as well and don't be afraid to experiment. You can use anything that will leave an impression in the clay. The ink stamped magnets turned out to be my favourites in the end.

Step 4: Leave to Dry.

Set aside your discs of clay and leave to dry overnight. Mine took around 24 hours.

Step 5: The End Product.

When dry file away any rough edges with sandpaper or a nail file. Finally use a glue gun to attach the magnets onto the back of each disc. and you're all finished. Ta-dah!
