Introduction: Starburst Jawbreakers

When I saw these, I thought they were genius. These are fruity and cold if you freeze them, perfect for summer. You can mix flavors, or keep them just one flavor. They can last longer than a regular Starburst, because you freeze them and they slowly soften in your mouth.

Step 1: Stuff You Need

You're going to need:
Starburst candies, as many as you want
Wax paper
Microwave
Bowl (microwave safe)

Step 2: Unwrap

First step would be to unwrap the Starbursts that you want to use. Obviously, you wouldn't want to have a jawbreaker with pieces of melted wrapper in it.

Step 3:

You don't have to do this, but it's easier to. Get a piece of wax paper and put it in your bowl. Put the unwrapped Starbursts on top. The wax paper makes it easier to take the candies out.

Step 4: Melt

Take your bowl and place it in the microwave. Set it to 10-15 seconds, depending on how long it takes for the candies to melt. (Experiment with a few first, to see how long you need to set the time.) If you can feel that it's soft when you poke them, then it's done melting.

Step 5: Roll and Shape

Take the bowl out of the microwave, and start peeling the candies off of the wax paper. (It might stick a little.) Choose however many you want in one jawbreaker, depending on how big you want it to be (I did two). Roll them in the palms of your hands, or shape them. (I should try that, I really should.)

Step 6: Wrap and Freeze

Now, wrap them in another piece or wax paper (you could use foil instead) and put them in the freezer. If you're patient, you can leave them in for 8 hours or overnight. If you're a little more impatient, like me, you'll give up after a couple of hours and start eating them when they've barely begun to get cold.

I put them in the bowl just for convenience, you don't have to.

Step 7: Om Nom Nom

Go ahead, eat them!    ♪You know you want to!♪

Don't throw out those wrappers yet! You can make awesome things like bracelets, purses, and who knows what else.
