Introduction: The Sling

This sling is a tool which helps you when handling with small parts like screws and nuts in narrow gaps, holes or pipes, areas you can't reach with your fingers.

I'm very proud of it because of its simplicity and functionality.

I invented it to get a screw out of a vacuum cleaner which I had vacuumed by accident.

Parts List

- straw
- elastic band
- preferably wire or, if not available, some thread.

Tools List

- none but your hands

How to do it

Bend the wire to a hook, narrow enough to fit into the straw. Hook in the the elastic band, put it through the straw and the sling is ready to save your former unreachable lost parts from where no fingers have gone before. =)

- Place the sling around an object and carefully pull on the wire - there you got it back!
- Put a nut into the sling and place it behind a hole - now you can easily grab it it with the screw.
