UNdeRwaTEr SeLfIE With AnY SmarTpHonE USiNg PLaStic COveR

i am really interested in doing stuff under water...
one day the idea came to my mind...i thought.. can smartphone+waterproof transparent plastic bag=cool underwater selfies..??(u know it..:) so i decided to do an experiment..

heres how i did it..

Step 1: (FIND a GOOD BAG/COVER)

i searched for a transparent plastic bag(needs to be transparent.thickness is also appreciated)

Step 2: (WATER PROOFING)

put my smartphone in the bag and made it waterproof putting insulation tape in its mouth;when taping i tried to minimize the air in the blastic bag(it would

be beneficial when immerced in the water{reason->think about situation where we put our hand in a plastic cover and then immercing our hand in the water})

Step 3: (TESTING)

i then put my bag in a bucket full of water to check any leaks.there were none(if there are any,use transparent cellotape)

Step 4: (FOLDING)

The folding should be in a manner such that water should not enter the bag even if the bag has an open mouth(ie not tape used at the mouth).

I folded the plastic bag by severeal folds keeping in mind that there should be only one layer of plastic sheet on the side of the camera.i was also aiming for folded plastic covers to be tight(especially at the part of the camera) so that i get the best selfies.

after folding the setup was handy..i could hold it easily(it would be good if u put some rubberband on it)

Step 5: (SAY CHEESE... :)

You can use the twist motion to open the camera..(if its enabled in ur smartphone)

I used the 'volume down' button for taking the photos.

AND dont forget to have fun by making bubbles and looking at the sun from beneath.

WHAT TO DO IF WATER ENTERS THE BAG(Oh..Oh)

immideatly switch off
take out the rear cover
clean it by a dry towel
blow out the water...especially the SD card and SIM slots
put it in rice as rice absorbs water

NOTES

The touch screen will work if even if the plasic sheet is covered but it wont respond well when our hands and the plastic cover is wet. The water should be as clear as it can be or the photos will be cloudy.
