Introduction: Upcycled Teapot Planters

About: Have fun, play, explore, write yourself.

It was a sad day when I realized there was a rust spot in the bottom of my white teapot. But instead of saying goodbye forever, I decided to transform it into a planter! The key to this is to use an inner pot with holes in the bottom. If you just put some dirt and a plant in the teapot, the water will have nowhere to drain. Eventually you will kill your plant. So find a small plastic container with holes that fits in your teapot easily. If you plant succulents like those in my pictures, be wary of over-watering. They only need to drink about every two weeks!
The white teapot is home to a Zebra Haworthia.
In the silver teapot is a Snake Plant, Sansevieria trifasciata.
