Introduction: Whiteboard Eraser Marker (alcohol Marker)

This whiteboard eraser marker makes removing old dry-erase marker or permanent marker marks on a whiteboard a breeze. It is filled with alcohol and all you need to do is to scribble over the marks on the whiteboard and then wipe it off.

I thought up of this while at work, as the whiteboard there has a lot of marks that can't be wiped off, and scribbling over them with a dry-erase marker and then wiping off would waste the ink. Conveniently, at work there was a Pilot V Board Master marker with the ink all used up, which enabled me to turn my idea into reality.

Alright, let's get started!

Step 1: Materials Needed

- A Pilot V Board Master (keeping the empty ink cartridge) or any dry-erase marker with refillable cartridges

- Rubbing alcohol

- A pair of pliers or scissors

Step 2: Remove the Empty Ink Cartridge

- Unscrew the end cap and remove the empty ink cartridge by twisting it out.

Remember to remove it with the marker tip facing upwards, otherwise the ink residue will drop out and cause a mess (that's what happened with me; made it look like I dripped a pool of blood, haha).

- Remove the small cover inside the cartridge with the pliers/scissors and rinse out the cartridge and marker (optional).

Step 3: Fill With Alcohol and Replace Cap

- Fill up the cartridge with alcohol, then replace it into the marker, making sure it's secure with no leakage.

- Screw the end cap back on, and you're done!

Step 4: Test It

- You should see the marker tip become white slightly after scribbling with it, which means the alcohol has travelled to the tip and it is working.

Step 5: How It Works

You just scribble onto the whiteboard marks you want to remove, then wipe it off. It's that easy!
