Wire Balloon Chandelier

Things that you need:

1 big balloon

1 gym ball

100 cable ties

36m of wire

9 fittings

9 light bulbs

1 wire connector

1 ceiling cap

contact glue



Tools:

Min. 2 people

Screwdriver

Scissors

Pincer

Measuring tape

Step 1:

Cut the wire into 18 even pieces (each piece is 2m). Connect all of them on the top with a cable tie (20 cm from the beginning of the wires) and put it on the gym ball.

Step 2:

Start to weave the wires as you see in the picture. You have to do 6 rows. Glue each connection of the wires and fix them with the cable ties row by row. The glue needs 20 minutes to dry.

After the glue has dried, you can take the cable ties off.

Step 3:

Cut the wires so that the distance form the last connection is 50 cm. Choose of each wire couple the right one and put a fitting on it. Cut 20 cm off the left wires. Take the structure of the gym ball.

Step 4:

Connect the 9 wires of the fittings with the wire connector. Make sure that you put only the wire with the same color in each part of the wire connector. Slide the ceiling cap over the 18 wires and fix it with glue. Then cut the 9 wires that you don’t use for the lamp so that they are not visible anymore.

Step 5:

Make two loops out of cable ties. Put one other cable tie through the two loops and wrap this around all the wires above the cap.

Step 6:

Blow the balloon as big as the gym ball. Put the wires around the balloon (as you see in the picture). Put the light bulbs in the fittings. Congratulations you just finished the “Wire Balloon Chandelier”.
