Step 1: Step 1; Scrap Wood Metal Can

you will need some scrap plywood or solid wood

Step 2: Step: 2 the Tools You Will Need

you will need

the tools show 2" and 3 ½ " and a glue gun as shown

Step 3: Step: 3 Start Drilling

use the 2" just to go

½ way throw the material you are using solid wood or play wood

Step 4: Step : 4 Cut Out the Shaps

then use the larger cutter to cut it out as shown in solid wood and play wood

Step 5: Step: 5 Start Gluing

start gluing

apply hot glue to the

inner wood cavity then press firmly the empty can in cavity

(note) you can also use 2 part epoxy that will be much stronger too on this project

Step 6: StEP : 6 SAND AND FINISH

SAND THE EDGES

sand edge just so there is no splinters
- I routed the solid wood one but sanding will do the job

just as good 100 grit or 120 grit is fine

OPTIONAL IF YOU HAVE A ROUTER

I USED A ROUTER ON THE WOODEN SPOOL SHOWN IT DID A REAL PRO -JOB

Step 7: STEP ; Apply Clear Coat or Paint

a good clear coat will look nice or wood stain or any color you wish to use
