Introduction: Yummy Red Velvet Bars

These red velvet bars are fairly simple and esay to make. They would make a great Holiday treat or even just a dessert after dinner.

Ingredients and supplies needed:
1 stick softened butter
1 box of German Chocolate cake mix
3 eggs
1 oz red food coloring
2 softned bricks of cream cheese
1/2 cup of sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 9x13 pan
cooking spray
aluminum foil
a mixer or two mixing bowls and beaters

Step 1: Preheat Oven

preheat the oven to 350 F

Step 2: More Getting Started!

cover the 9x13 pan with aluminum foil and spray lightly with non-stick cooking spray

Step 3: Batter!!!!!

put 1 stick of softened butter into mixer/bowl
poor in cake mix
add 1 oz red food coloring
add 1 egg
and mix the ingredients together

Step 4: Dough!

once the batter is mixed together, press the dough into the bottom of the pan
make sure to press down the edges well

Step 5: Wash Time!

if you are using the mixer, wash your bowl and beater so red food coloring does not get on the frosting
if using different bowls just wash your beaters

Step 6: Frosting!!!!!!!!

mix 2 softened bricks of cream cheese
add 1/2 cup of sugar
add 1 tsp. vanilla
once mixed together well, add one egg into mixture
mix togehter throughly until smooth
then add one more egg in mixture and mix until smooth

Step 7: Almost Done!

when frosting is smooth poor on top of the batter and spread it around evenly with the spatula

Step 8: Oven Time!

put the bars into the oven and bake 40-45 minutes
do not let them get brown

Step 9: Enjoi!

when the timer is finished remove the bars and cut as desired and enjoi!
