Introduction: Air Powered Tripwire Paint Mine 1 (paint Chamber)

here is how i made an air powered tripwire paint mine. whats great about this mine is that it does not use any CO2 cartriges, which keeps cost down, and you can fill it with a bicycle pump. It looks harder to build than it is, just take your time. I am going to break this up into 5 different instructables: paint chamber, air chamber, clamps, triggger, and how to use/notes. Just go to the author link to find them all. Lets start with the paint chamber.

Step 1: Materials Needed

1- section 14" long of 2" pvc/abs pipe
1- 2" pvc/abs end cap
1- 2" pvc/abs coupler
1- 2" pvc/abs threaded end cap and threaded sleeve (find an Oring to put in female part)
1- 12" section of 1" corrugated tubing with threaded ends(1 Oring to fit over threaded part)
1- brass sprinkler head ( 90, 180 or 360 degree)MUST thread on to the corrugated tubing threads
Short section of rubber tubing that slides over the threads of the corrugated tubing
1- Steel tire valve
1- section 6"-6 1/2" long of threaded 2" galvanized pipe
2- 2" galvanized end caps
1- 3/8" ball valve (must open easily, look in air tool supply )
1- 4" spring (1/16" wire diameter, must be able to open valve)
2- 3/8" male to 1/4" female pipe adapters
2- short 1/4" nipples (male)
1- 1 1/2" long 1/4" nipple (male)
1- 1/4" T (all female)
1- 1/4" plug
1- section of 1" x1/8" steel strap
1- 2 1/2" long cotter pin
Some 1" x 1/2" wood
Some 3" wood screws
1- tent steak
1- Key ring
Some short self taping screws
Short piece of thin wire to make hook
Several yards of upholstery thread for trip wire
8" of surgical tubing
1- 16 floz water bottle
1 Small hose clamp
1- small plastic/metal nipple

Step 2: Paint Chamber

Cut 2" pvc/abs pipe to 11 1/2" to 12". This will be the paint chamber.

Step 3:

Drill a hole in the center of the 2" end cap to slide in JUST THE THREADED PART of the corrugated tubing. Slide tubing in hole, place Oring over threads and screw on the sprinkler head. Take other end of tubing and shove a few inch section of the rubber tubing over the exposed threads to take up the remainder of the paint chamber (leave some to cut off). This will be the sprayer assembly.

Step 4:

DO NOT GLUE YET, slide the sprayer assembly onto one ends of the paint chamber and then the 2" coupler with the female threaded sleeve on the other end. Insert Oring into threaded part. You do not want the end of the tubing to touch the threaded cap so cut off a section of the rubber tubing so it does not touch the cap.

Step 5:

Glue on female threaded part to coupler and that to paint chamber. If you are careful in further steps you can glue on sprayer assembly as well. You might drill into the corrugated tubing when attaching the air chamber plumbing to the paint chamber. Next instructable will be the air chamber.
