A new parker fountain pen. After a few words starts to leave gaps, as if ink isn't flowing smoothly

. I have two other pens of the same type that both flow smoothly over the same papers, so I beleive the problem isn't the paper. It's been over a month, and I've cleaned it with water several times. Another clue to what is happening is that, even though I only use dark blue ink, occasionally it flows out... green after being left for a few days. Since ink flows well on newsprint, the ink flow from the cartridge isn't the problem. I've tried pressing on the nib, as in the instructions, but that doesn't make it flow smoothly. Do you have a spare nib or one that you can borrow from another pen? Try swapping it and see if it works with a different nib. If it doesn't work, then most likely the ink flow is being interrupted.
Hold the tip under fast running faucet and try to back flush the ink tube. If that doesn't fix it, take it back to your retailer and ask for a replacement.

OK will try. Thanks

Are you using the same ink for all the pens? Maybe that's the problem - the ink.

Here's a link to Parker Pens. Email them and explain the situation. There is a two year warantee on Parker Pens.

Sounds like a manufact. defect to me. Maybe some chemical was left in the pen that is disolving and interupting the flow.
