ANSWERS : Technology

Any thoughts on this handheld CB? I'd like to get a CB radio, but I don't really want to mount one. I have been looking at this handheld. Thoughts/comments are appreciated!

Midland is a good brand but no handheld will ever be as far reaching as a well installed base unit because of the reduced antenna size.

Ah, but a mag mount antenna with BNC connector will be darn close. Just try to optimize SWR.

I think that you will find that after some use in your vehicle or at home, you'll want to upgrade to a real mobile or base, maybe even both. Either that or make up an adapter for the hand-held that mimics the mobile or base.

I sure do miss mine. :(
