Blade height?

You mention that the blade height should be just above the wood stock you are cutting but you don't give a reason for that. Although I have heard that before about the height of the blade I have never heard a good explaination as to why. Other than maybe saftey is there a reason?

Safety. It's always safety :)

Blade height above the stock determines how deep you cut your finger, mine was just a bit too high now the bottom half of my left pointer is missing. Oh well at lest I still got all ten.
