Broken PDA charger connector - options for fixing?

I have a Navman PDA/Satnav with a broken charger connector (the part inside the PDA has come clean off of the board and there's no chance of re-affixing it). The battery inside the PDA can only be charged via this connector via car cigarette lighter or usb. I was wondering what my options are for getting it working e.g. charging the battery via other means or direct connection from the charger lead to the battery?
