Brown versus White Sugar?

I keep thinking of white sugar's "empty calories" and that brown is slightly more nutritious. is the nutritional value of brown negligible? How can I substitute brown for white? Or include molasses with the white?

You can substitute brown sugar for white sugar (cup for cup), however, it doesn't make it healthier. If you divide the amount of molasses contained in brown sugar by the amount of servings a recipe makes, the health benefits (if any) would be negligible.
