Build a Small Tesla Coil

I need you help bright minds of Instructables!
I want to make a very small Tesla coil and I have the right schematic! But I still remain a n00b in electronics...
This schematic is used in:
Help me build the schematic below... I would be very grateful to one who makes the schemactic in Eagle or other program that shows everything connected together.
Thanks you very much!

If you can't get the parts for this, then try Steve Ward's micro SSTC. I built one from a computer power supply and some free samples (The 555 timer and UCC37322 Driver)!

I will try to make the schematic in Eagle....

You're welcome

This should be it

I hope I didn't miss any connections
PS the VSS and VDD are the power for the IC and the connections for the power.....

VDD= Positive
VSS= Negative

Those values you might use again so here's a link

You're welcome, Be sure to tell me (and Plas) if it works...

Yeah...
Feb 27, 2009. 2:24 AMthermoelectric says:
Possibly Farnell, Plasmana gets his parts from them and he's in the United Kingdom...

Oh, Just search them i\on Google, You will most likely get a supplier of them.

do you have the eagle file, not the jpg? if you do, pm me.
Apr 14, 2009. 4:09 PMthermoelectric says:
Willyou be using the Eagle file to make a PCB out of? If you are, some of the parts aren't real.... (The driver IC, I had to just put a line where the enable pin should have been because I couldn't find that chip in the Eagle library. )
Apr 14, 2009. 5:07 PMrippinblaise says:
that is what i was going to use it for you could download the library it's in or i could i guess can i have the file though?
Apr 14, 2009. 5:20 PMthermoelectric says:
I'll give you the file but the thing with the enable pin won't work on a board because it is not the right part...
Feb 23, 2009. 7:40 AMGoodhart says:
Are 2 interrupters involved, or just one attached at the enable pin?

look I'm an electronic genius i can build anything electrical but this is a little difficut. you know what as I was wrighting this I think I just figured it out tell me if I'm right or not. You need to connect the driver a from the ocilator to the drive a on th diver same with the drive b. Now the interupter cable has a output cable called enables connect that to enables on the driver. I forgott to check to check the links links so I'll post another comment to end your troubles. looks cool to so I'll have to build one too.

very subtle there :P yellow wire-goes to RF ground (say, a copper water pipe, don't use the 3rd prong in your house because it might damage all of the equipment in your house, but it might not matter since this is tiny) in the schematic simply connetc A to A and B to B, lol, not rocket science here. darn straight it goes from 12 volts to a higher voltage :P but unlike a conventional coil where there's high voltage in the primary (several kilovolts) it's all done at a lower voltage (say, 12 volts in this case) at higher current. More about the circuit: The 4 diodes are for preventing inductive kickback (ie large negative voltage) uhhh... I don't feel like looking up the chips now, but basically it self resonates (duh)

HEF4049 is a chip containing multiples inverters (high in=low out, low in = high out, high=12 volts, low = gnd/0 volts) that have high current capabilities.

IXDD414 is a highspeed mosfet/igbt driver

UF5408 are very fast diodes

your links all lead to a country page, probably cause I'm in the US

I carved a toroid out of styrofoam, dunked it in polyurethane, and then coated it with aluminum foil. I think I'm going to make a new one, this one had too many bumps.
Feb 22, 2009. 8:43 AMguyfrom7up says:
Vcc in this case is probably +12 volts In most schematics, though, like with microcontrollers and such, Vcc is 5 volts. Most common values for Vcc: 3.3, 5, 12 In this case 12

http://www.instructables.com/id/Step_By_Step_Plans_to_Building_a_250000_Volt_Tesl/connect the enables in the interuppter to the 2 enables in the driver circut. the 2 antennaes must go to the coils a.k.a. the white wires in the second pic the yellow wire must be ground. I don't know 4 sure if i am right so build the circut how i told you and build a tesla coil how this guy did. The way I see it is your are boosting the power off a 12-18 vlt battery to a highr voltage a.k.a. the driver circut and connect the out put to the tesla coil. I only did this for the small one with a door nob for a ball so i don't know if this will work fo the the second mini tesla coil. I hope this helped you If it didn't go to my account and post your Question there.

so do you want the schematic explained? or do you want a drawing? or a picture? or what exactly? can you be slightly more specific? also, does this have anything to do with the electromagnet you were making?

sorry, this might take a while you're not it a rush, are you?

Feb 22, 2009. 1:52 PMThe_Vinninator says:
diodes are very forgiving if you use the wrong one by accident, it shouldn't change the process much at all I'd tell you, but the site is down right now, sorry pal I'm working on the image this is taking really long
Feb 22, 2009. 1:57 PMThe_Vinninator says:
sorry, I just checked the schematic anything with that serial number will work so ya, you've got what you want
