CAN YOU USE ANY KIND OF PLATE TO REPLACE A GLASS MICROWAVE TRAY?
CAN YOU USE ANY KIND OF PLATE TO REPLACE A GLASS MICROWAVE TRAY? i GOT A MICROWAVE FOR $15 BUT THEY WANT $40 FOR A NEW GLASS TRAY? it is just for my son in college what should i do
I agree with steve - but part of the price of a new glass tray is the lumps underneath that engage with the motor-drive, without this it won't turn that well / at all. If your son is taking this to college, he might do as well just putting large dinner plates in there (with the food on).
Make sure it has no metallic glazes on it - a quick test run in an oven will tell you. Run it for 20 seconds and remove it, if its got warm, it isn't suitable.
