COKE CAN STIRLING ENGINE

I HAVE BUILT A COKE CAN ENGINE JUST LIKE THE ONE IN THE 2 PART VIDEO ON THIS WEBSITE. IT LOOKS GREAT, BUT I CAN'T GET IT TO RUN. THERE HAS GOT TO BE SOMETHING SUPER SIMPLE THAT I AM MISSING. PLEASE HELP. IM THINKING MAYBE SOMETHING WITH THE BALLOON, THE DISPLACER, OR HOW CLOSE THE HEAT IS TO THE PRESSURE VESSEL.

If you could post photos of the engine, that would be a great help. Even better would be a video of it, with you turning parts so we can see/hear if anything is wrong.

I will post a video as soon as I can, I am an ASE Master Truck Technician, I've built more engines than i could probably remember, but I can't build a simple coke can engine!!!!!!! LOL This damn thing is driving me crazy. I know that it is something so damn simple. Thanks for your time

Stirling engines are notoriously hard to get to run - a couple of hints:

a) turn off caps locked
b) as Steve says minimize friction
c) The seal must be perfect
d) Keep trying. It may need quite a lot of heat to get it to run.
LOL on a.

Had the exact same thought.
YEAH. NO CAPS LOCK. Please.
It's probably a bit jammed up somewhere just fiddle with it until it does something or use a hotter heat source.
These things MUSt have the absolute minimum friction. Check very, very carefully for rubbing parts or tight axles.
