Can uploaded photo's be turned? They are all upside down, and on my PC they are looking fine.?

I did take lots of pictures with my iPhone 4 and they seem to be upside down in some programs/sites. But on windows explorer and picasa they seem to be ok.
I want to use them to create an instructable about woodturning, but all uploaded images are upside down.
Can they be turned around on this site?

Thanks!

You cannot rotate the images in your library.

I'm guessing that embedded data in the photo records which way up your phone was, and your computer can use this. However, the website cannot.

You need to rotate them on your PC - look at them as thumbnails, they should look the way up they will upload. Right-click on the images that need turning, and select the turn you want. If they are completely upside down, you may need to rotate them twice.

Thanks for the reply!

Is it possible that my phone adds the wrong side up to the metadata?
And is it possible to fix that?

I eventually found a program that fixed it (microsoft office phototool).
Now they display upside down in the windows explorer and in Picasa :)
But they are fine on this site.

Try the freeware program Irfanview. When you save the picture as jpg,
you will see options to reset the "EXIF orientation tag".

You should be able rotate them using the free Picasa from Google - Then export them to fix the rotation.
