Can you use a regular hp printer to print on duct tape?

If it is an ink jet printer, it will work. Set your printer to the size of the with of the tape. Then put the tape on wax paper cut to the size of the tape, like a sticker. Then put the sheet of tape in the printer wax paper side up, and print. Let me know if you need any more help.

Someone could contact HP. They may have a method ('ible!) for printing on the new duct tape sheets. Or they may want to come up with one. The sheets are awesome. I have a sample one that I haven't touched because I don't want to mess it up!

probably. I have a product here in front of me called 'duct sheets' - its 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of duct tape with peel off backing...Not sure how well the ink would dry on a waterproof surface (not well I imagine) You could try putting a piece on a sheet of waxed paper - so you can peel it off again later, then feeding that through, but it might jam. Be ready at a split second's notice to hit 'stop' or unplug the printer if it's gonna tear itself apart. In the printer settings dialogue - you might be able to tell it the thickness of the material you're dealing with, so it focusses the head appropriately.

I agree it and your comment was good for future information
addnl info - is it an hp LASER printer or INK(jet) printer? Do NOT put duct tape thru a laser printer. They put plastic dust on the paper, then bake it on at a few hundred degrees for a fraction of a second. Duct tape would undoubtedly jam or worse.
