Can't read Russian?

why is it when someone makes a comment in russian that is shows up on the IBLE as a random string of characters, but when I go to their profile it shows the correct letters?

I am able to copy the russian text from the profile comments and run it through a translation program to find out what is said, so that is not
a problem ... I am just wondering why it comes up as gobbldy-gookk on the IBLE.

Sounds like the ible editor doesn't have the correct text set but the profile editor has the correct set.

Well, in my opinion, comments and instructables should only be posted in English, since English is the language the website. However, you are simply trying to convert them TO English (despite being an English website), and that sounds like a possible bug report.

For those who speak another language, I recommend using

to view instructables, in your native language.
