Does anyone have ideas on how to remove the outer hard shell off a Abalone?

They better be worth it.  Looks like a bit of work.
The shell part is handled halfway down or something. But I guess the stuff does taste good?

After removing the insides, that page points to the clean-up (under the picture of the empty shell):

Not super detailed, but I don't think it's a sophisticated process.

It's a bit subtle, not so easy to find amongst all that "flesh". I wasn't sure whether you wanted to do step 1 or the clean-up, so I went for step 1.
Do show us what you get in the end.
