Does anyone know how to enlarge a crochet pattern?

I have great patterns for kids sizes 6, 7 and 8.  But I need some 10 and 12 sizes and they just aren't out there.  I am mainly doing sweaters, shawls, ponchos and things for big and little girs.  Thanks much.

Since I posted my original answer the question you asked seems to have changed! You wanted to enlarge the pattern now you want a pattern for a larger sized person so my answer does not apply, sorry.

You'll need to add stitches to each row, and probably add more rows as well.  Unfortunately, that's the extent of my knowledge.  Do you have any crochet books that describe how to do this?  Perhaps you could get one from the library?

Use a computer with a scanner but just scan, say 1/4 of it in each time so you get 4 images. You might be able to print each one so it fills a full page. If not then load the image into a graphics program and enlarge it there. Then you can print it out at a larger size.
