Does anyone know where I can find a large(12" diameter) clear plastic, hollow sphere?

It could be one piece or separate at the equator, or have a hole in it. Also, it doesn't have to be exactly that size.

party stores usually have some balls (horrible joke i know i am not up with my game today) but in all seriousness some landscape specific stores (like local landscape supplier) or you could try to make your own just try to make an ible if you do!

Here is where I bought a 12 inch clear plastic sphere
Here's one place:

Here's another:

Be warned: They're not going to be cheap.

Once upon a time, back in the late 70s, I purchased a terrarium that used a clear plastic sphere. It's possible someone is still making them for indoor gardeners. If all else fails, you could search based on that angle.

This question has been asked before. Here are the I'bles results for transparent sphere and for plastic sphere. There's substantial overlap, as you'd expect.

Would one of the small-animal exercise balls work? The first one I found for ferrets is 13". It's less than perfectly clear, but...

A quick ebay search turned up some spheres, but none quite that large.

The only other thing I could recommend is checking your local craft store.
