oh actually i have tried this and it worked and tasted great with ketchup but i put a stick through two dogs and then double fried them and mmmmmmmmm they were awesome i use bisquik for batter

Personally, you title "double corn dogs" made me think of 2 dogs on one stick. In the fashion of a double ended corn dog.
And for a decent corn dog batter, I've just always used the corn bread batter in a box.
