Everywhere i click on a web page there is a flashing text line.

I want to make it stop.

_Ko0LaiD_ you have caret browsing on! This allows you to click somewhere then use the shift and arrow keys to select stuff! Good for selecting a lot of text on long pages. Press F7 again to turn Caret Browsing off.

Just a shot in the dark, but you could try installing Ad-Block Plus (it's a Firefox add-on) and see if it goes away. Even if it doesn't fix your current problem, it's a handy add-on, I haven't seen an ad in months.

I clicked Near the instructables logo, and flashing text line came up.

On and off like a text cursor like when you are typing. Firefox 3.5.1

Bizarre - just web pages? Looks like a graphics fault, but I only say looks like.
