Food safe material to line or seal a metal ball?

I have an aluminum rice steamer ball that I need to seal the interior of.  It will hold candies so it needs to be food safe.  I'm looking for either some sort of food safe epoxy or silicone material that I can use to either just plug the steamer ball holes or line the entire interior surface.  Any ideas?

A food safe silicone sealer would be my 1st choice, failing that, Id use a fish tank type sealer, if its safe for fish it wont have that vinegar curing smell and should be human okay.

Thanks Peter.

I was hoping someone might know of a silicone sealant that is food safe. I suppose "aquarium safe" might need to be good enough.

FYI jenglish9, one source... Rust-Oleum makes a suitable coating, in spray can ~ $10.

Search for "Rust-Oleum food grade silicon"

That's just a pic I found on the internet of the streamer ball I have.

Its still food safe, whichever aluminium ball you have.

OK, I'm aware that it's food safe as is, it was made to cook food..... I'm looking for way to seal the holes that is food contact safe.

You might have been one of these people who thinks aluminium is hazardous to health.....

Bear in mind that aluminium develops a coating of sapphire on it, when exposed to the air - that vaguely green colour you have there is a sign its present. Sapphire is effectively inert to everything but concentrated lye.

If it was safe to put cook rice in it, its safe as it is.
