Freezing flour a few days to prevent flies from forming in flour. ?
I freeze flour based products that I will mix and bake, like cake mixes, to prevent these flies from hatching in the flour and in mixes. It does work. If I do not and do not use product right away flies will form Even in sealed bags, so that says they were in the flour before I bough the product. Does the freezing do anything to the flour? other than killing the livestock in the flour?
