Freezing flour a few days to prevent flies from forming in flour. ?

I freeze flour based products that I will mix and bake, like cake mixes, to prevent these flies from hatching in the flour and in mixes. It does work. If I do not and do not use product right away flies will form Even in sealed bags, so that says they were in the flour before I bough the product. Does the freezing do anything to the flour? other than killing the livestock in the flour?

It will not hurt to freeze flour before you use it. Self-rising flour can be affected by freezing, but all other flours will be fine.
