HP laptop Pavilion zd8000 LCD screen shows vertical lines when hinge moved. how can I fix it?

This is a extremely common problem with this laptop, Sadly the only remedy HP offer is to get a new screen of which you will be paying for :(

And what's worse in most cases I have seen the screen has failed and then the internal graphics chip, so no VGA out = completely useless.
