Has a hobbiest ever made a compulsator?

compulsator is a method of energy storage, give high pulse currents.

one thing that i have been wondering about my self is that i have been looking around a bit and seeing what i can find on the subject of compulsators and everything i have found has talked about them being used to power a rail gun. with a pulsed source of high voltage such as this, how difficult would it be to make one on a scale that is safe for a hobbiest to be used in stead with a coil gun?

like attached to a dc brushless motor with half of the mags removed to have to have the novel armature, what do you guys think?

I think it would be possible to take a tesla turbine and attach an armature and get a compulsator, they spin up to 15,000 rpm
Here's someone who is activly researching the idea.

At it's simplest, it sounds like a "I can build that" gadget, but in order to make one that's not going to rip itself apart, you're going to need good materials, good tools, and accurate construction methods. Without a plan to work from, you're going to need a little electrical engineering know how and a bit of mechanical engineering know how. So you'll need to understand how it works and how to make it do it.

I have seen that, and i have done lots of research, as well as talked to him.

I think i can do it (safely). I have a knack for getting the best materials for free =) Harderst part will be grearing a motor to high speed, and designing the windings.
Right. I'd be happy to see an instructable on the subject, so I really hope you can build it and make it work with some efficiency. The point I neglected to mention was that I don't think any hobbiest has ever built one... just engineers employed by big government contractors.

Ya, I have only seen one, government or not. It was big and shiny =p
I am going to try to locate a sponsor to provide a motor (feel free to help me....=p)
I googled it and found lots of stuff like:
