Has anyone thought about making their own aircurve (by Griffin) for boosting ipod/iphone sound?

The thought actually came across my mind a couple days ago, but it was a really silly idea ( IE cardboard megaphone) But after seeing your picture of the air curve, I don't think it would be that hard, and a nice wood one would look pretty fancy too.... although a plexiglass one would look nice too. hmm........
