Headphone Specifications?

I am looking to purchase some headphones and the three main specs are: Hz - KHz, THD, and Ohms.
What do they each mean? Please be very specific. (In terms of when I am listening to music)

Check out this nice buyers guide for headphones. It will show you what you need to look for.

But to more directly answer your questions the Hz-Khz is the frequency response range of the speakers. In other words the range of sounds it can reproduce from the lowest beat it can produce to the highest pitched note it can reproduce. Headsets with a smaller frequency range will be cutting off some of the lower or higher tones. But for the most part the frequency range of mid level headphones tend to exceeds what the human ear can actually hear, which is between 20Hz and 20kHz. So go with a set that exceeds that range.

The Ohms of the speakers is there impedance rating and that is explained in the above article.

With THD (Total Harmonic Distortion- how clear the sound reproduction is) the lower the number the better but any state performance of "less than 1%" doesn't really tell you how crisp and clear the sound reproduction actual is.
