Help with Masterdude's MAR 3 Knex Gun?

I'm having trouble loading Masterdude's MAR 3.  Can someone explain in words (and pictures) how to load and fire his gun correctly so it is truly semi-automatic.

First of all, you take the top part off, and load up 8 rubberbands to that ratchet thing. Replace the top part, and insert the magazine.
