Hi - Any ideas about making a large price sign - using 12 volt led bars - nothing fancy. Thanks?

ok, sorry did not give enough detail.  Looking to make a gas price sign, 3 digit display that can be changed when price goes up/down.  Looking for the digits to be 2 feet in height.  Looking to use 7 - 12" led bars to make up the digit (12 volt).  Need something to control the display besides switches.  thanks for any help

go to a sign shop and have them make it for you. You'll spend almost as much in buying the materials to do it yourself then to just have someone make that has access to wholesale costs. that thin translucent sheeting is called Duratrans. or you can buy a thin plexiglass and ask the sign people to cut out vinyl lettering on translucent vinyl. Just tell them what you're trying to do and they can probably give you a few options.

print the price on a sheet of something translucent

then put a 1/2inch acrylic/plexiglass plate behind it, shine the LED bars on the sides of the acrylic

place the price on to of the plexiglass/acrylic

then cover the reverse side of the acrylic/plexiglass with aluminum tape

finally frame it nicely
