Hi, I'm willing to try almost anything. What diy project can get me enough power to charge a iPod Touch almost anywhere?

Hi, I'm willing to try almost anything. What DIY project can get me enough power to charge a iPod Touch almost anywhere?    What I mean is I want to create something that I may mount on something (like my scooter or something), just hold, or stick in my pocket, etc. that could create free power, enough to charge a ipod touch on the go. I looked at this http://www.instructables.com/id/Free-Mako-Energy/  but how would I maximize the energy generated to equal or be grater than 5v? I don't know, maybe someone can help me out.

Later I got after several hours 1/3 of a volt, exciting!
Forget that one.

Look at some kind of driven-generator, e.g. http://www.instructables.com/id/Lego-USB-Charger/
