Hot-topic style hair clips... How, where, etc?

Ok, I'm the first to admit that I have a very off-beat style. I do find myself drawn to Hot Topic (and places like it) for their creative hair accessories. I'm just curious where they get all the neat little .. *things* for lack of better word, that they glue to the clips? They're usually little plastic.. well, again, things. I've seen grenades, broken hearts, razor blades, and so on. Where does one find these little objects? And what are they called, anyway, or do they even have a name? I've only had minor luck finding anything like it in craft stores, and they're mostly meant to be used as a button or a bead. Where does one find just small little plastic *things* to glue to a hair clip? Or anything else, for that matter.

Thanks oodles. Yes, I just said oodles. ;]

Re-design: Yes, yes, and yes. I think you're made of magic. ;]

GuardianFox: I realize as much considering most of the objects actually say "CHINA" on them somewhere - lol - but I know of other small businesses that get nearly the same items made. My question now is more along the lines of: where can *I* get junk like that?

Re-design opened my eyes to lot auctions via eBay and I'm sure sites like it. So I'll try that route for now. :]

Thanks guys!
They get theirs from China mostly. Hot Topic generally just looks at what someone else is producing and then copies it or uses a simple theme on a generic item. They'll send a design to a chinese manufacture and then order custom moulded plastic or die-cut metal pieces in bulk, In other words, they usually have the pieces your looking for made just for them.
