You can purchase a mulitport USB card to add into your computer. They're pretty inexpensive.

Alternatively, you can purchase a powered splitter (not the passive ones, they suck)

Do you really want additional USB ports, or do you just want to attach more USB devices? (The differences are minor in most cases, but some devices are happier if the port is dedicated just to them.)

If you just want to connect more devices, it's simpler to plug in a USB Hub box and plug the devices into that. Four-way hubs are common and cheap; six-way seven-way are almost as common and not much more expensive. (That's one of USB's advantages -- it _can_ handle multiple devices per port.) If your concern is how many devices can be powered via USB, you can get a hub with its own power supply.

Second choice would be to see if the existing USB hardware inside the box can support additional connectors; third choice would be to plug in a card that provides more USB ports. (The order of these two depends in part on how much effort you want to make and whether you will want to use your motherboard slots for other, more complicated, things later.)

All of these solutions should be pretty cheap.

A lot of mainboards have spare USB connections - you just need to plug cabled ports into them.
Open the case, look where your existing USB things connect, see if you've got spare connections on the board.

You can buy an external bay, which would plug into one of your existing USB ports, and then give you aprox. 4 more ports, or you can buy an expansion port and put it into an open bay in your computer. The external bay is easier, but the expansion ports are usually faster, and more reliable.

Personally, I would go with an expansion bay.
