How can I get about a tarps worth of tyvek?

I go camping with a hammock, so i need a tarp to make the rain fly. I recently realized tyvek would be a very good material to make into a tarp because its waterproof, light and ripproof. But I have no idea where I could get some cheap and in small quantities. Thanks

Contact some building contractors and and tell them what you are looking for and offer to pay them a fair price. Chances are good that one of them will give you what you need or direct you to a jobsite where you can get it. Most likely, for free.

Carry a cold 6 pack on a Friday and you can probably get all you want for free.

You can ask for it on your local free cycle site. I just got a 8' roll remnant.

You might want to try a construction site. They would probably give you a piece that small.

Have you tried a clothe goods store? if they don't have it in stock, they can probably get it.
