How can I make a box that when opened plays a short sound?

I'm trying to make a treasure chest that when opened plays the Legend of Zelda treasure sound.  The only idea I have of how to go about this is to use the sort of sound devices found in musical greeting cards.  Is there an easy way to do this?

Only problem I see with that is reeds are usually normally open, so with the lid shut the circuit is on, not off ?
You can get normally closed reeds also.
From Radio Shack ? Still ?
Not the Radio Shack by my house, but I live in the cultural armpit of the continental US. YMMV.
I live in the arse-end of England, so we're fairly close really.

RAdio shack has a "record your sound/voice etc" device for about $15.  You could get that and hook it up to a proximity switch (Reed Switch) like from a burglar alarm with a magnet on the lid so that when the lid opens up the magnet is pulled away and the reed switch closes the circuit playing your ditty.
GDIGDIGDIGDIGDI  and I thought I was gonna be the one to beat RavingMadStudio to the punch...

"proximity switch (Reed Switch)"
For the record, I am not obsessed with reed switches. I can quit anytime I want. I can....
Oh sure, sure.......just look at this

spdt microswitch can be used to perform same function as the reed switch if you'd rather use an electromechanical switch.
