How can I make a motion detector sprinkler ?

I need something like the scarecrow motion detector sprinkler. Had one work great for the elk, but it is worn out. At $60.00 I can not afford them.

*buy a motion detector for lights.

*instead of screwing light bulbs in, screw in a light bulb socket outlet

*buy a simple auto sprinkler valve that runs off 120v (or a system that runs off 120v)

*plug it into a light bulb outlet.

i can see that costing around $25-40
don't know how to make it cheaper

the problem with RIAA's solution is that a light motion detector stays on for 2 or 3 minutes at the minimum setting
