How can I make a simple rocket engine?

 Hi y'all,
I'm wondering if any of you know how to make simple rocket engines (Instead of buying them). If you can help me, please answer!

Its a really dangerous thing to do. Lots of people have died from making the simple fireworks ones. Keep your fingers and eyes and spend the bucks for the ones that are made correctly with all the safeguards and quality control.
