How can I make insulating ear flaps for my climbing helmet?

there are plenty of snowboard helmets out there with removable ear flaps, I need something similar for my climbing helmet for winter adventures.

I agree with gmoon but if your still interested you could use duct tape and fleece as a temporary plan

How about just a pair of insulated ear muffs?

I use a Buff while I'm climbing. It's thin enough to fit under my helmet, but keeps the wind off.

Seems like an unnecessary complication.

Why not just wear a hat under the helmet? I normally wear a microfleece hat under mine. Or a heavier balaclava in colder conditions...

It's a simple system and it works.
