How can I tell if my stereo speakers are bugged? How can I tell if there's a listening device anywhere in my home?

How can I tell if my stereo speakers are bugged? How can I tell if there's a listening device anywhere in my home? Like in phone jacks, air registers, cell phone, or computer.

Try walking around the room with a portable radio tuned to a high frequency if there are any transmitters in the room you will get feedback in the radio ie. a loud whistle. this will not work with all transmitters (bugs) but will for most homemade versions, turn the radio up loud and tuned to a blank station

re: my reply its unlikely for a listening device to be placed in a speaker as the noise would make it useless and most likely cause feedback through system

there are handheld bug detector devices you can buy. just do a google search. right off the bat i found this, but, as with anything, you should shop around.
