How can I upcycle very sturdy metallized pet food bag?

Hi. One of my dear cats had to eat a special Royal Canin food for a while, so I ended up with several metallized film bags (I'm not sure if that's the correct name so I uploaded an image). I don't want to throw them to the garbage, as this material will take many years to break down.
I searched here and there are many beautiful upcycled tote bags made with regular pet food bags which are fused and/or sewn, but these metallized bags are really hard! Do you know if this is possible or if there are other ways to upcycle, repurpose or reuse these bags?
Many thanks in advance,

Ana.

I would try the sealer on a vacuum sealer and patch them together to make a survival blanket.

What a great and useful idea Josehf! I will also try the sealer to make some sheets for a solar oven, as the interior of the material is reflective (have to see if it melts though). Thank you!
Let me know how it comes out, the solar oven sounds good.

Recycle them. If you want to know if they can be fused or sewn then start trying different ways to attache them together.

BTW there is no image posted.

Hi. Thanks for the answer. In my country they are not recyclable.
I tried to sew them with a big needle (no machine), but the results were not the best. Will try other ways to attach them together.
Good quality parcel tape

These are what is called a composite material - Layers of plastic and aluminium foil. they are very hard to recycle unless you come up with something yourself.

I have made kites from mylar very successfully in the past.

Hi rickharris. What a great idea! I think that these bags could also be transformed into interesting kites. Thanks a lot!
