How can i denickle brass?

I would like to remove the nickle plating on some brass objects I have. I would like to know if anyone knows how to do it; other than mechanically.

I've seen their process used over here by the guys who do our plating for work - its too much messy chemistry to bother with, when they'll work for cash on my private jobs.
