How do I increase the glow time of luminol?

How do I increase the glow time of luminol? And what is the safest mixture of chemicals that I can use for chemiluminescence? I'd like to avoid using highly hazardous chemicals like potassium hydroxide if possible. Ideally my mixture would glow for a few minutes once activated.

Check out United Nuclear, they have a luminol substance that supposedly glows for 12 hours. It is a Europium doped nontoxic chemical formula

As far as I know, (and I could be wrong) you can't.
If you want a long lasting chemiluminescent reaction you should try using peroxalates such as TCPO. They are very expensive though, and many of them are carcinogenic.
