How do I repair a rubber gorilla hand?

I have a gorilla costume with hands kind of like this, but the thumbnail on one is ripped, so it's like a flap.  How do you repair something like this?

Try Fabri-Tac fabric glue. It works exactly like hot glue but isn't hot.

If you can't get it to edge glue put a piece of rubber underneath it to act as a bridge.
