How do you cut t-nuts/slotted nuts with a router table?

Y want to use finger joints with T slotted captive nuts like this http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Build-your-Everything-Really-Really-Fast/step4/The-T-nut-Crossed-T-nut-Jesus-Nut-Slotted-Insert-N/

I only have hand tools and a mini router table.

¿Is it possible? ¿Is there any other convenient joint I can use in Acrylic with just this tools? (with screws, I don't want to use glue)

Thanks

I would would use a blind rivet nut, the only tools you need are a drill and a screwdriver.

This is in order of strength.

In Acrylic or plastic you should be able to do the T-Nuts with the mini router.

You can also use self taping screws, not wood or sheet metal screws.

Another thing you can do is pinning, drill a hole slightly smaller than wood or metal pins and press the wood or metal pins into the plastic. It pressure fits and holds the two parts together.
